Brussels, Belgium: EU countries will send “fighter jets” to Ukraine at the request of Kyiv to help him fight Russian air and land strikes, Head of Foreign Policy Block Josep Borrell said Sunday.
“We will provide even fighting jets. We are not talking about just ammunition. We provide more important arms to fight,” he said at a press conference.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has told the EU “they need a type of battle jet that can be operated by the Ukrainian army … Some member countries have this type of aircraft,” Borrell said.
