After the great success of the Dark Horse Comics Adaptation of Umbrella Academy, Netflix learned further into the genre of super heroes and would work with Rapman to develop Supacell, a new series of a group of superpower blacks. This is all we know about Netflix’s Supacell.
The new Sic-section series will be written and directed by Rapman aka Andrew Onwubolu. Credit includes Blue Story, Shiro’s Story Short Movie Trilogy, American Son and more. Rapman will also produce together with Mouktar Mohammed and producer Associate Henrietta Lee, both new waves.

Production for 1286 confirmed that filming will take place between July and December 2022 in London. It is not clear whether filming will take place at Netflix’s Sheperton Studios.
