Airlines In India Not Using Aerobridges For Boarding To Save MoneyAirlines In India Not Using Aerobridges For Boarding To Save Money

New Delhi: The private airline chose not to use aerobridges to rise and board the plane to save money and therefore, parents bring Brunt because they have to use stairs, a parliamentary committee states on Monday.

“The committee regrets this apathetic and unreasonable attitude towards private airlines,” he said, adding that the operator must be punished by the Civil Service Ministry.

Aerobridge is a transferred tunnel which is expanded from the airport building to an airplane for dormitory or dosong passengers. The airline must pay a certain fee to the airport to use the Aerobridge facility.

A report on the Parliamentary Committee on Transportation, Tourism and Culture was submitted at Rajya Sabha on Monday, where it was said that even though it had aerobridges at several airports, the airline did not use it to ride and board passengers and instead using stairs. “Even though passengers are charging, Aerobridge facilities are not used by private airlines to reduce operational costs,” he said.

Because of this, passengers – especially those aged – have to bear the burden and climb the stand of the parking stand to get on a plane, note.

“The committee regrets this apathetic and unreasonable attitude towards private airlines and highly recommend that the round to the subject mentioned above may be strictly enforced,” mentioned.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has issued a circular to all Indian airport operators stating that if aerobridge is available for dormitory passengers and dosong, it must be used for their convenience.
